This listing is for an early antique Black Forest wall clock. The movement is made from wood with metal gears. It has nice housing. The clock is missing its pendulum and weights, so it has not been tested. Some signs of normal wear and age present. Chains are still attached. The clock itself measures 16.25 x 9 x 6 inches. This antique Dufa German Wall clock would make a great addition to any home. It is a lovely piece and I think you will enjoy it very much. Whether you’re looking for a functional timepiece or a decorative accent, this hanging wall clock is just for you! Please carefully examine the pictures as they form the main portion of the description of this clock. But I will say that before I was even done cleaning it it started running and that is generally a really good sign also it wasn’t particularly dirty i. The brass was pretty much gold colored still not covered over with gunk and oil and grease. Think that this is a wonderful clock and I would certainly keep it if I had more room in my home. As such it is time for it to come and be with you and your family. The movement and case have both been cleaned and serviced. I do not take all the patina off of the brass you can do that if you would like to. Every attempt will be made to package the clock carefully so that it arrives to you intact and in it’s current working condition.

From my research, I believe this to be a very early example of an Oswald rolling eye clock. However, there is no brand marking on the clock, just the patent location U. And date of Aug 31, 1926, along with the words In- U. The clock is 6″ in height and 6″ in length. This clock has its original screws but is missing the winding key. The other knob on the back turns smoothly and adjusts the dog’s right eye. I could not get the clock to wind, but I didn’t want to risk breaking or damaging anything on the antique clock, and suggests that this clock be serviced by a professional to return it to full functionality.

Originally called Landenberg and Lang, became the Hamburg American Uhrenfabric (HAU/HAC) in 1891. Landenberg previously worked as business manager for Junghans. In 1930 HAC merged with Junghans. Beautifully and deeply hand carved, lightly used antique Cuckoo clock with a gorgeous dark mahogany finish; created in the Black Forest of Germany, circa 1940’s; average or less signs of use; movement was completely rebuilt at one point; wooden bellows, wood cuckoo bird, trapezoid bellows, wood dial; no issues; complete with two sets of attached metal chains, two heavy pinecone metal weights, and a wooden grape leaf pendulum too; works.
