Head Doll German Early Heinrich Handwerck Bisque Comp Body Antique Dk Brown Hair. This is a wonderful German early Heinrich Handwerck bisque doll comp body, approximately 20 inches. She has painted features, an open mouth with upper teeth. This doll is marked Handwreck, Germany, with a number 10. She has a early composition, doll body, all fingers are accounted for. Normal wear from age and usage. She is in excellent condition given that she is over 100 years old. Her feet feel to be intact, shoes were not removed as they are antique and I did not want to risk damaging them. She comes with her outfit which includes pantaloons, half slip, full dress, black socks, leather shoes and what I believe to be the original earrings as pictured. Her eyes, however, are not in place, but they are still within her head. I cannot guarantee that they are intact as I did not remove the hair. Perhaps somebody else that knows dolls could do that and fix the eyes. Her bisque head is topped with a nice brown wig, which has finger curls and bobby pins. She is a perfect little antique doll to display. I do believe that the clothes are original to this doll based on research.
