Here are a pair of adorable. Character children, 9 tall, dolls created by Wagner & Zetsche. They are a hard size to find and were introduced as. Haralit (a cellulose-based composition) flange, swivel heads and. Arms and firmly stuffed, pink twill. Cloth bodies and legs. Richard Wagner (business partner) and Richard Zetzsche (artist, designer & sculptor) founded their doll company in January 1875 located in Illmenau, Thuringia, Germany. The dolls were produced and patented in 1916 and. Are marked 2/0 Hansi WZ on the back of their necks as well as being signed on the base of each of their shoes. Their sweet faces have intaglio eyes, open/closed mouths, teeth, dimples, rosy cheeks and deeply molded and hand painted hair, cloth legs are jointed at the hips and move well. The arms are one-piece with nicely detailed fingers and need the stringing to be tightened. They wear all their original, matching, multi-layered and detailed, factory clothing including leather short, dress, apron, undies, knit socks and leatherette shoes with trim. They are in excellent condition with no damages or repairs, no stains or odors and from a smoke free home (some paint faded which is normal for these dolls). Other models are not included and listed separately. See page 382, 9th Blue Book and page 79, “A Century of Celluloid Dolls”. Buchholz as well as “Coleman’s Encyclopedia” and “Ralph’s Doll Museum”, portrait line of dolls. Additional reference sources are: page 256, “German Doll Encyclopedia” and page 325, “200 Hundred Years of Dolls” -Herocher. Nearly all of our items are. (usually with some signs of wear due to usage and previous storage). We do our very best to describe and photograph them for you and do not repair, restring, repaint or enhance them in any way as most collectors prefer to find them in their original state.

Antique German Blown Glass Ornament Choice EARLY Pair of Parrots #19
This year I did the traditional BIG tree- and it was a chore. I turned 60 this year. When I turned 50 I said when the tree becomes a chore and the fun goes away- so will the big tree. This past Christmas was my last BIG tree. It’s too much and takes away from the fun of collecting all these old friends. Here begins the dispersal. This 19th lot features a choice, early PAIR of Parrots. They are larger sized and quite showy on the tree. I bought them at a show in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1987. I bought them together and I’ve decided they need to stay together. Measures just shy of 7 Delightful as a pair on the tree. I would date 1910-15. Thanks for looking and Good Luck.
