Antique German Bisque Kestner Mignonette 4 1/2 Doll Mold 257 Closed Mouth

Absolutely adorable tiny 4 1/2 doll by Kestner; marked on her back 257. She is all bisque; has some small paint imperfections and minor production defects. Few chips to her left leg – see photo. She has sleepy eyes; mechanism is working. Left eye seems to be deeper inside in the socket. Pate and wig are most likely original. Her clothes seem to be antique and very fragile. Her body wasn’t inspected. Dress is sewn on the back; unable to remove without damaging it more. Stains and holes are present. Stand is not included. Please refer to the pictures for more details. Antique German Bisque Head crude body doll 5 boy and girl

Antique German Bisque Head crude body doll 5 boy and girl with very old sewn on clothes (most likely factory manufactured cloths). Cute little dolls are a perfect cabinet size. Estimate dolls to be manufactured in early 1900’s. Believe these dolls are Theodor Recknagel or FW Goebel, but not positive. Two lot set includes. Girl doll approximately 5 tall. Wearing beige sewn on dress and pantaloons and painted shoes (shoes have chips). Inset brown glass eyes and closed month. Bisque head has brown (applied glued on hair) some strands coming out in back. Incise back of head is #13 but hard to read. Doll is jointed arms and legs on crude boy (stringing is loose and head is a little wobbly). Boy doll approximately 5 tall. Wearing beige sewn on shirt and shorts and painted shoes (shoe has chip). Inset brown glass eyes and closed mouth. Bisque head has brown (applied glues on hair) some strands coming out. Incise back of head “DEP R22 or 29″ hard to read. Doll is jointed arms and legs on crude body (stringing is loose and head is a little wobbly) needs TLC. Please review all pictures they show best description.

German Mark Antique North and South Figures African American Doll Flow Blue

Part of a massive figurine collection. Height approximately 8 3/8 inches. Get your book of marks and find it. I no longer have a book of marks. Displayed and marked by the owner. Some marks scotch taped over and some not, so probably won’t clean. This collector paid for restoration of many of her figures. I can’t see any obvious repairs. I used a black light around their necks. I can’t see anything, but I cannot guarantee it. They look right to me. The African American girl looks like an individual, not a stereotype. Her little finger of her left hand is whiter. I don’t think it is repaired. Just fading brown paint? Her fingers are typical of bisque figures. Her bonnet has rust stains. I have not tried to clean it. I think it might require more than water. Bases have typical roughness. The boy has a flow blue mark on his cheek and a stray blue mark on toe of shoe and on his collar. Mold line on one side of face. He has a black age line in one arm. Rare and unusual set of figures.
