This listing is for an Early Antique Alpine Tyrolean Dutch German Celluloid Young Male Doll & Attire in excellent antique as shown condition, with age stains to shirt collars and other places on cloth, with felt jacket and leather pants with suspenders with one strap on front torn (easy repair) and a leather hat which is pinned in to the head in front and back. Made of Celluloid, with most of clothes permanent, so I cannot undress the doll to check the body, but hands, feet, torso and head all seem to be in excellent condition. It weighs 98 grams overall. Shoes are leather or like and I figure had a felt bottom which has fallen because of glue drying and is a 3 minute restoration if you have felt. Shoes are currently on but perhaps after putting a felt bottom and blocking with magazine paper, will be better fit and better stay on. Largest of its type I have seen with most wonderful detail, beautiful face with great mold and beautiful detail. Back of jacket at elbows has a felt heart much like the felt hearts on hat and underpants of the partial young female doll being offered separately. I consider this doll extremely rare and hard to find and see it date back probably to 19th Century. From estate of an avid long time doll collector.
