This listing is for an Early Antique Alpine Tyrolean Dutch German Celluloid Doll & Attire in As Is / As Shown condition, missing left arm and right leg, Would be about 10 inches overall height. Made of Celluloid, is probably the primary reason for loss of left arm and right leg as celluloid is extremely fragile. It weighs 108 grams overall. Clothing is age soiled as shown and displays light fading as shown. Largest of its type I have seen with most wonderful detail, chubby face with great mold and beautiful detail, one ear with silver or like earing, other ear perhaps missing the earring, golden neckless, golden buttons with motifs, felt jacket and hat and detailed outfit of linen or cotton with linen or cotton under garments. The underpants has two red felt hearts on back of it (last image under description). Adornments on hat include two red felt hearts like on the back of underpants also (see specific image) Body / torso seems there and intact although not examined out of clothing as clothing is permanent. Green and grey felt shoe on one foot. I consider this doll extremely rare and hard to find and see it date back probably to 19th Century. From estate of an avid long time doll collector.
