You are looking at a. Antique Early 1900s German Hand Painted Porcelain Pipe. The pipe barrel is beautifully hand painted on porcelain picturing deer in the forest. The barrel is topped by a silver plated metal rim and hinged lid. The porcelain barrel rests on a connection piece carved from horn. The pipe body is made from a piece of hazelnut wood topped with an antler base and carved horn pieces connected with a flexible cord lines spring. The original tassels are still attached featuring colorful silk bases. Made by Emil Koller (Kingdom of Baden). Total length of the piece is 28. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks to the porcelain. The horn mouth piece is a little worn at the front and the base of the flexible tube is slightly damaged. A one-of-a-kind piece of folk art!
