19th cent pewter plate. Pewter used to eat or drink with at the time was known as “sadware” and this example can be dated a bit from some clues in the metal. Engraving on rim reads “1814” and original owner’s name, which fits with the practice at the time of diners keeping personal sadware at taverns or inns for their exclusive use. This is also in line with popular rim style of the day. Worn makers stamps on back are still visible of three angels, marking it as Schott Niz. In fantastic condition for being 200+ years. Repair seam underside (see pics).

Offered is this rare Antique German majolica Display Plate. We’ve added a photograph of this plate (Photo 11) from the V&B Book in the Keramik-Museum. We found this and others at a private sale in Saverne, France. This is an old piece with an unusual kiln mark on the backside rim (photos 8,9 &10)and a tiny kiln spot on the front face (photo 3). See all photos for more details. It has a high gloss and deep rich colors. It measures 7.5. In diameter and is in excellent condition for its great age. A fabulous addition to your collection.

Nice German 800-850 Silver Reticulated Harvest Scene Plate 1800s/early 1900s. Presented is a wonderful German silver reticulated cabinet plate. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The plate is ornately decorated around the rim with openwork designs, interspersed with cornucopias and medallions. The center of the plate depicts a beautifully rendered harvesting scene, with a farming family resting after hard work, amidst their crop and reaping tools. It’s quite well done, with a lot of detail. Overall an attractive and interesting piece of antique German silver, and a perfect addition to any collection. This piece is guaranteed to be between 800-850 purity silver. This piece is hallmarked with the maker’s mark for David Kugelmann of Bad Kissingen, Germany. Early 1900s WMF German Art Nouveau Cornucopia Cherub Silver Plate Vase W/ Wheels. This vase has surface wear / surface scratches and scuffs. I believe there is supposed to be a butterfly on the cherubs left hand, and it was probably broken off. There is a dent on the side of body of the vase (check 10th photo). There is a crack at the top, front facing lip of the vase (check 6th & 7th photo). Both wheels are bent (9th photo), and they wiggle in their settings. Although the wheels will not fall off. The wheels do spin. There is some corrosion of the base metal on the lower inside of the vase. There is some residue / debris in some of the crevices. WMF/G in Rhombus – Partly Dashed. H (on the wheel axle). Approximately 9.75 inch height. Approximately 10 inch length (front to back). Approximately 5.75 inch width (side to side).
