Antique German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Circa early 1930's
Antique German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Circa early 1930’s. This is another nice earlier example of a depression era one day Black Forest cuckoo clock, signed’Faller’ that has survived the test of time. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and new bellows tops have been added, so this should last quite a while before needing any further routine servicing. The case is in very nice aged condition for as old as it is, with beautiful and intricate carving and detail. It is a nice, medium size clock that will fit in many areas where larger clocks would be overwhelming. It measures 15″ high from the bird’s beak at the top to the bottom leaf tip (not including the weights and pendulum) by 12″ wide across the top piece. This is an impressive looking clock that would make a nice addition to any clock collection and should continue to rise in value for you as time goes on. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final (with the exception noted below). It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do. All sales for this type of item are final. We try to describe everything exactly as it is and if we do something wrong, we will make it right. We do not use our computers on Sunday, the Lord’s day, but will answer any emails Monday through Saturday and do whatever we can to resolve any problems. Honesty is always the best policy.
